Troup County School System is now focusing on sight word phrases for K,1 st and 2 nd grade students. A sight word list came home with your child this week – Please focus on learning the first 10 sight words. *You may send in a note when you think your child is ready to be tested on these phrases. TIP: write these on index cards for easier studying! Accelerated Reader: 1 st & 2 nd grade students have visited the library. Our AR program is ready! Be on the lookout for an “AR TESTING FORM” that will need to be filled out before any student is able to take an AR test. Each book must be read three times and sighed by a parent in order for the test to be taken. (Any family member, sibling, peer, etc. may listen and sign the form, too. However, an adult must sign the form once in order for a student to take a test. This will be coming home soon!
