5  It is a computerized telecommunication device that provides of a financial institution with access to financial transaction in a public space without the need for a cashier, human clerk or bank teller.  On ATMs customer is identified by inserting a plastic ATM card with a magnetic strip that contains a unique card number and identity information.

7  It is a card issued by a bank, credit union or building society that can be used at an ATM for deposits, withdrawals, account information or other kind of transactions, often through interbank networks.  It is also known as bank card, client card, key card or cash card

8  The idea of self-service in retail banking leads to the development of an ATM machine  The simultaneous efforts in Japan, Sweden, U.k.been credited in developing the first cash dispenser machine  The first ATM called Bankograph was installed in Barkleys bank in north London U.K.on 27 th june 1967

10  ATMs are not only placed in  banks but also in the  airports, grocery shops  petrol stations, restaurants  Or any place where large number of people gather  There are two types of locations for the ATMs

11  1)ON PREMISIS->machines that accomplishes the actual bank branch and are more advanced and multi functioning and having a large capability of storing data and are very costly  2)OFF PREMISIS->machines that are developed by financial institutions where there is usually a straight need of cash and are cheaper and mono functioning

20  To verify card holders identities have been tested and deployed in some countries, such as finger and palm vein patterns, iris, and facial recognition technologies must be included for safety
