Coordination options for joint advocacy On the assumption that a joint strategy is agreed by both working groups to provide the basis for coordination, one or more options for coordination could be adopted: A sub-committee of both core groups is formed to lead and coordinate the advocacy The Chairs of two working groups jointly coordinate advocacy The new CCWG Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the joint advocacy The two working groups merge in the “Climate Change & Disaster Management Working Group” with sub-groups working on specific themes Other.... ] thepressuregroup [

Coordination options for joint advocacy However, in order for coordination to be effective, each member must be willing to be coordinated! This will involve collaborating on certain projects, delivering what they have committed to, and reporting to the working groups on what they are doing and what the results are. In particular, it would be useful to maintain a central contact database, showing all the advocacy contacts that were made with different individuals and bodies, so that others can refer to them before initiating a new contact. ] thepressuregroup [
