Pre and Post Floor Deformation Achieved pitch = 10.2°, achieved roll = 10.1°

Test Videos See accompanying four (4) videos.
6
Head: HIC < 1000 or HIC15 < 700 Neck: Nij < 1.0 –Peak Upper neck Fz < 937 lbf tension, Fz < 899 lbf compression –Head rotation about vertical axis < 105° –No concentrated loading Oblique Policy Injury Criteria
7
Spine –Lumbar: Fz <1200 lbf in tension –Thorax: Concentrated load between pelvis and shoulders not acceptable during impact and rebound If there is contact for any rearward (X Direction) acceleration exceeding 20g must be less than 3 milliseconds as measured by the thoracic instrumentation –Thorax/Abdomen: No interaction with the armrest or other seat components in any manner significantly different than would be expected for a forward-facing seat installation Oblique Policy Injury Criteria
8
Pelvis: Any part of the load-bearing portion of the bottom of the ATD pelvis must not translate beyond the edges of the bottom seat cushion supporting structure Leg: Axial rotation of the upper-leg (femur) must be limited to 35 degrees in either direction from the nominal seated position Femur: Compressive force below 2250 lb Oblique Policy Injury Criteria

Femur Compression Femur appears to have contacted the forward monument. Femur injury assumed to be low via rational analysis. –Previous testing showed that the femur limit will not be exceeded in a 16g test –“Effect of Passenger Position on Crash Injury Risk in Transport-Category Aircraft” Taylor, DeWeese, Moorcroft.
