5 How to Create Your Own E-Marketing  Decide on topic/theme & research  Develop content  Gather images & create visual with Gimp or Paint  Upload finished visual jpeg to Partner Marketing Site  Insert image into Open Office HTML document and add content  Add “opt out” message  Save HTML document for e-mail marketing

6 E-Marketing – Theme & Content  Let’s pick a theme – How to make your office eco-friendly  Research the topic and write up your content in Word  Ex: “With all of the new eco-friendly alternatives available in the marketplace today, you may be interested in learning ways in which your company can reduce their environmental impact. Here are a few tips:  Use non-toxic cleaning products free of harsh chemicals  Use environmentally friendly office products  Set up recycling bins within your offices  Use eco-friendly break room products  Switch to fair-trade, shade-grown coffee  Avoid printing documents that could be e-mailed  Turn off any equipment that doesn’t need to be on when you’re not in the office As your Indoff Partner, I have access to hundreds of eco-friendly products and advice for how you can go green within your office.”

7  Choose specific products you want to promote to your customers – find images that are available to you (vendor CD or website)  If you don’t have Photoshop, you can also use Paint, GIMP, or an alternative photo/design editor  All of the images I have selected are from Supplies Direct  Drag each image to your Desktop, Rename, Paste into Paint from Desktop, Save as jpeg file!  Don’t forget the Indoff logo! E-Marketing – Gather Images

8 E-Marketing- Upload Image  Let’s start by uploading the Indoff logo  Go to a Partner Marketing Site  Upload your JPEG image in the “System” tab under “Site Uploads”  After a successful upload, click on the thumbnail image  Highlight the entire URL (web address) for the image and copy  Be sure to do this for all images you want in the e-mail marketing piece

9 E-Marketing- Open Office HTML  Open new “Open Office” HTML document on your computer  Open Office is free to download  Click the insert photo button in Open Office  Paste the URL that you copied in the “File Name” field, then click “Open”  Add your text content from Word  Copy and paste works just fine  Play with the colors and fonts if you wish

10 E-Marketing- Send out via E-Mail  After saving your e-marketing piece as an HTML document in Open Office, you’re ready to send it out!  Edit Select All Copy  Go to your e-mail (Indoff g-mail works great!)  Compose New e-mail  Place cursor in the body of the e-mail and Paste  You should see all the images and content, tweak things if you need to.  In BCC “To” field, add your customer contacts  And finally – Always, always, follow-up!!

11 How to Edit E-Marketing  You can find all of the e-marketing pieces that have been created by going to the Intranet Groups Marketing E-Marketing  Once you have selected your E-Marketing piece, click on it so it opens in it’s own window  Edit Select All Edit Copy  Go to your e-mail and “Compose Mail”  Place your cursor in the body of the e-mail and Paste  After it is pasted, you can edit the text as you would like  Just delete the text you would like to replace and type in your new message!  Also, add your contacts in the BCC “To” field and Follow-Up!!
