8. Higher Education Parents Information Evening The Higher Education Parents Evening will be held TODAY at 6.30 pm in the Assembly Hall. Parents of any pupil from S5 who intends to apply this year are also welcome to attend. Edinburgh College, Edinburgh University, LEAPS and SAAS will be represented.

9. Age 5-15? Love wildlifeand want to help protect it? Join the Conservation Action Team (CAT) based at Edinburgh Zoo!

10. CAT runs on the second Saturday of the month from September – June and is open to anyone in P2 - S4. Through this programme, children will discover not only RZSS animals but also the exciting native wildlife on site, from butterflies to badgers! CAT is about having fun whilst learning about, and acting for, localand global conservation in lots of different ways. Activities includemaking wildlife homes, bush craft, gardening, encounters, zoo trails,games and much more! Choose from one of the following timeslots Morning: 9.00 am - 11.00 am Lunchtime: 12.00 pm - 2.00 pm Afternoon: 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm

As a CAT member you may also have the opportunity to achieve your John Muir Award, an environmental award scheme focused on wild places, encouraging people to connect with, enjoy and care for our natural environment.
