1. Moka, A shcool anchored in the past, turned to the future

2. Moka is named like that because of the town in Yemen, which used to trade with Saint-Malo. It mainly sold coffe. Moka was a little school before closing in 1903 and re oppening in 1905 because of the sisters. It welcomed between 50 and 60 pupils at the beggining, and then around 140 in 1913. It was a school for girls. The girls who studied here were used to be called the « Mokatines ». In 1914, Moka became an hospital during the first world war until 1919. But later, it became, in the end, a secondary institution. At the begginig of the second worl war, it took back his place from military hospital. In 1942, the German built the blockhaus, to operate the injured men, so in 1944, when the hospital got destroy, the Moka school substitute it. 20 years later, in January, the 17 th, the first stone of the new building is placed, then, in 1966, it is finished. Moka was a school only for girls

3. Destruction. This summer, our school gets destroy. A main part of the pupils and a few teachers have participate at the moving. We've carried chairs and tables two days long, and then, we've emptied the two buildings. At the end of the second day, we've eat for the last time in our self. The, we saw the big machins starting destroying the school. It's quite strange...

4. Future. Last summer 2010, Moka was destroyed. It was destroyed to make way for a new school. A more beautiful and modern one. These colors are grey and orange. Because of this change, the school is located in the School of Montjoie. The location of the school will share half the ground with a series of building: The Moka's Park. The college is being renovated because it is located near what later became the new downtown...
