8 Drive Chapter 4 “Autonomy” This era doesn't call for better management. It calls for a renaissance of self-direction (Pink, 2009)

9 Drive Chapter 4 “Autonomy” Review your Chapter 4 Reading guide and read the summary of chapter 4 on page 207 in Drive. At your table, discuss the questions on the handout. Complete the 1.2.3.4 Reflection – Be prepared to share

10 Drive Chapter 4 “Autonomy” As you think about your own best work, what aspect of autonomy has been most important to you? – Autonomy over what you do (task)? – when you do it (time)? – how you do it (technique)? – with whom you do it (team)? – Why? How much autonomy do you have at work right now? Is that enough?

11 Drive Chapter 4 “Autonomy” Would initiatives like FedEx Days, 20 percent time, and ROWE work in your district/school/classroom? – Why or why not?
