13 Architecture Implementation Pilot: GEOSS, FedEO, Tri-Lateral Kickoff Meeting - 5&6 June 2007 Slide 13 Scenario Capture and Recording - September Capture clients screenshots and operator narration –Ideally movie segments will be less than 3 minutes in length to keep the loading time for each segment to a minimum. Record voices of the demonstrators in the screen captures –Recommend a prepared speaking script –recommend a headset with a boom microphone. Camtasia Studio 4 to record the Scenario screen captures –http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asphttp://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp –Techsmith offers a free, fully-functional 30-trial of their software. –"raw" screen captures in.avi format are the deliverables –800x600 segments, OGC will then export to flash (.swf format) OGC “how-to” to be distributed later

14 Architecture Implementation Pilot: GEOSS, FedEO, Tri-Lateral Kickoff Meeting - 5&6 June 2007 Slide 14 Comments regarding Multi-media production Should be supported by non-techies, professional media organization –David Thomas – professional production experience –Terry Fisher – past work with movie-maker Need to do professional work for summit Audiences –Ministerial –Journalists at summit –Technical

15 Architecture Implementation Pilot: GEOSS, FedEO, Tri-Lateral Kickoff Meeting - 5&6 June 2007 Slide 15 Results of session 5c Two candidates for the “new scenarios” –Evaluating Medium Resolution EO data for African monitoring sites –Huge volcano eruption in Asia Needs identification of appropriate components/data for each scenario. –Only meeting participants know the above scenarios. Coordination with IP3 scenarios –NASA (EO-1) interested in IP3 flood scenario.

16 Architecture Implementation Pilot: GEOSS, FedEO, Tri-Lateral Kickoff Meeting - 5&6 June 2007 Slide 16 16 Evaluating Medium Resolution EO data for African monitoring sites Event occurs in monitored African monitoring sites (wild fire, flood, etc.). Charter activation Archive check activation (data acquisition) Evaluation ‘ after ’ and ‘ before ’ comparison.
