1. Want to get a GCSE in Japanese? Want to be able to amaze friends and family? Then come to J-Club. Every Monday C.107 3.20pm – 4.00pm

2. Session 1: Learn to read hiragana in 48 minutes. Finishes 4.10 pm, and by then you will recognise all the characters in the main Japanese alphabet.

3. Session 2: Greetings. By the end of this session you will be able to read and say the main greetings/key expressions.

4. Session 3 Numbers. By the end of this session you will be able to count to 100 in Japanese, and will know a song to help you remember the numbers.

5. Session 4 Katakana By the end of this session you will be able to recognise all the katakana symbols.

6. Session 5: Self introduction. By the end of this session you will be able to introduce yourself in fluent Japanese.

7. Session 6: Likes and dislikes. By the end of this session you will be able to say what you like and don’t like in Japanese.

8. Session 7 Introduction to kanji. By the end of this session you will recognise all 3 scripts in Japanese, and know some basic kanji.

9. My family 1 家族 1 （構成） Now we move to GCSE level! By the end of this session you will be able to read and understand every word of this text:

10. My family 2 家族２ ( 父母そふそぼ） We now move on to an even more complex text on family - GCSE level reading.
