Appearance As they walk their feet spread out. Have thick legs and round feet. African Elephants spread out their ears to appear bigger.

Habitat African Elephants live in Kenya Eastern Africa. They are learning their habitats from humans.

Diet To survive an African Elephant needs to eat about 300lbs (136KL). An African Elephant needs to drink about (100 liters)of water each day. To drink, an elephant sucks water into its tusks and brings the drink in.

Life Cycle An African Elephant starts its life in its mothers womb. The mother spends the next five years nursing an protecting its baby elephant. It takes 22 months to develop that’s 2 years!!!

Adaptations The African Elephant sucks water into its tusks and scoops it into their mouth. Spread out their ears to appear bigger.

Interesting Facts African Elephants can run as fast as 25 miles (40 kilometers). It stands (11 feet) 3.5 meters. African Elephants ears are (4 feet) 1.2m.
