2 Japanese Nobles Create Great Art The city of Heian was where the king lived in Japan. Nobles created a luxurious imperial court as advisors to the king in Heian. Nobles lived apart from the poor and enjoyed a simple life. Nobles of the court loved beauty and elegance. They had extravagant parties and enjoyed court music
