The Value of Community Rail CR lines can demonstrate a rate of growth 2.8% above that normally expected from regional lines CRPs more than pay for themselves, adding economic, social and environmental value 3,200 CR volunteers give 250,000 hours per year in support, giving additional financial value to the railway of £3.4m pa Station adoption is an outstanding low- cost/high-benefit measure, particularly where security or other problems can be addressed without high capital expenditure.
