NPSTC is a federation of organizations whose mission is to improve public safety communications and interoperability through collaborative leadership. 20 Broadband Requirements Update Globalization of LTE Standards –NPSTC supports a single global standard for public safety in LTE. –Several North American groups are looking to create public safety voice and data standards for LTE. –European commercial groups announced their plan to create a European LTE standard. –TCCA has created an umbrella organization to monitor this issue. –NPSTC will enhance the designation of ‘draft status’ on reports and documents that are in process.

Developed agenda for VQIPS Annual Public Safety Conference –Houston, Texas –Week of April 7 th or the week of April 28, 2014 (pending decision)

NPSTC is a federation of organizations whose mission is to improve public safety communications and interoperability through collaborative leadership. 23 2013 VQIPS Accomplishments Developed Consumer Digital Library (CDVL) www.cdvl.org Released four technical reports –“Developing Video Quality Requirements: A User Guide for Public Safety” –“Recorded Video Quality Tests for Object Recognition Task Report” –“Assessing Video Quality for Public Safety Applications Using Visual Acuity” Released Video Quality Standards Handbook Developed the “Defining Video Quality Requirements: A Web Tool for Public Safety” Version 2.0 Completed testing first responder usage and incorporating requirements into VQIPS Web Tool

NPSTC is a federation of organizations whose mission is to improve public safety communications and interoperability through collaborative leadership. 25 Radio Programming Compatibility Requirements Programming Compatibility –How to program P25 radios of different manufacturers Daily Maintenance issue for mixed fleet operations Critical issue during major incidents Goal –Address LMR programming incompatibility between Manufacturers software and normalize disparate field names –Develop tool to ease import/export programming between radios while reducing errors. Progress –60 day trial underway with several “beta site” agencies. –Report will be provided at IWCE 2014
