What are character types?

Characterization Characterization is the way that the author shows the character’s personality There are two types of characterization Shows vs. Tells 1.Indirect 2.Direct
4
Direct Characterization The author TELLS the reader directly what the character’s personality is Example: “He is strong enough to handle the work in the mines, he is strong, and he can hunt.”
5
Indirect Characterization The author gives the reader clues that lets them find out the personality of a character by themselves Example: “I reach her just as she is about to climb the steps. With one sweep of the arm I push her behind me. “I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute!”
