8 What Makes a Good Capstone Project Size 4 – 6 students Management support: Strong, knowledgeable mentor, good requirements Software projects: good  Popular applications: website, mobile applications (android, iPhone), on-line store, course advising, class scheduling Hardware projects: difficult  No budget  No shop, no restricted storage or work space, no tools  Ex: NASA Robot, Display fan, Physiological sensor data analysis

9 What Makes a Good Capstone Project Prototype, alternative design: good  Do not expect finished application  Project should not be on critical path  No support after semester ends
