Second modulator ( Nichicon) FY2006 Budget, Under final testing, Modulator of all in a cabinet which mates to ILC BCD Modulator specification Available For 5MW Single beam klystron and for 10 MW MBK. 5MW (136kv, 100A, Pulse width 1.5ms) 10MW(120 kV, 140A, Pulse width 1.5ms) Step-up ratio of pulse transformer=1:15 ( Different spec. from ILC-BCD ) Corresponding primary parameter 5MW (9.7kv, 1500A, Pulse width 1.5ms) 10MW(8.0 kV, 2100A, Pulse width 1.5ms) repetition rate of 5pps pulse sag of less than 1% (Pulse sag is compensated by bouncer circuit) Pulse is generated by IGBT Sw. IGBT is the same as STF-No.1 modulator but numbers used in modulator is different. Double stage interlock for over- current is employed. 1. Fast off of IGBT. 2. Crawbar. Evaluation for the over- current protection was completed successfully. IEGT modulator under the collaboration between KEK and TMEIC ( Mitsubishi-Toshiba -TMEIC-/KEK ) All-in-one modulator using IEGT Pulse modulator using IEGT SW KEK (Collaboration with TMEIC) WE have a good results for producing The long pulse of ILC-BCD design. Over-current fast off test, Quick off test under the normal running Are successfully finished
