When she won a Fulbright scholarship in 1992, she decided to go to South Africa to immerse herself in the country's culture and politics. In 1993, the white American was stoned and stabbed to death by a mob of angry black militants. How is this an example of forgiveness? How did Christian teachings influence Amy’s parents? 8. Seventy Times Seven In this clip we heard Jesus’ teaching that we should forgive seventy times seven times. What does Jesus mean by this? Jesus said that we shouldn't keep track of how many times we forgive someone. We should always forgive those who are truly sorry, no matter how many times they ask.
