1. Demonstrate a high level of competence and practical ability in the specification and design of digital signal systems. 2. Manipulate digital signals using z-transform, the DFT and FFT algorithms 3. Design digital systems and digital filters to meet specific characteristics 2013 - 2014 6 Intended Learning Outcomes

4. Select, apply and critically evaluate filter design methods. 5. Analyze and evaluate signal processing techniques. 6. Develop and demonstrate awareness, understanding and experience of DSP topics, including a significant individual investigation ( project) based on real-world applications and techniques. 7 Intended Learning Outcomes
