Important features:  Planbook.com now offers an iPad app  Shares the same cloud based features, so all changes made on one platform will be immediately available on the other.  New Print to PDF features  Print to PDF now allows you to print equal size lesson boxes, and to include the school day counter in your PDF file.  Student View  Teachers now have the ability to define exactly how many weeks into the future they will allow students to see in their student view.  Administrators - Feedback/Comments  Administrators now have the ability to provide feedback and comments while reviewing teacher plans.  Administrators - Standards Reporting  Administrators can now run the same standards reports to report on the standards covered by teacher lesson plans.

6. How does this fall on the SAMR model?  First of all as a principal I want my teachers to send me their weekly lesson plans. It is one of the many ways I hold them accountable. It is also available for when I need substitute teachers.  I feel it is a substitution for something they did prior to having technology. Most used paper/pencil as their way of writing lesson plans. I was looking for something that would make lesson planning easier and more time efficient for my staff. So far they have had great success! About half of my staff is now using planbook.com. My hope is to have everyone using planbook.com next year.  I also feel it falls into the category that allows us to do things that were impossible prior to technology. They didn’t have the capabilities to put their lesson plans on line for their students to see and use. It helps with students being gone or for parents to see what is being covered in their child’s class.  It is also an enhancement of what they have always been doing; creating lesson plans. There are so many options to this program that it will take time to understand and use all the features. Right now we are using the basics of this program and it is serving as a wonderful tool for my staff.
