Origin of Badminton Some historians says that in the Ancient Greece and Egypt there were many games. Some of them were with balls and racquets. In america, the mayas and the aztecs plays too but they has rules and the most important, in a field.

The birth of the Badminton First, there was a game in China called battledore but it was very primitive, with bad equipment and without rules, only for enternainment. Later, in mid-18th century, British military officers stationed in British India saw the game in a town called Poona. The Duke of Beaufort saw the game and he started to play with his friends in Badminton House and after the game also came to be known as Badminton game. He added a net to the traditional game.

The first badminton club The first badminton club was formed in Bath, England, in 1873. The game was introduced in the United States in 1890 and was also introduced in Canada. National Badminton Association (ANB) of the United States was established in 1895. At that time the rules were unified. The Badminton Association of Canada was founded in 1931 and the American Association of Badminton in 1936. For 1910, there were 300 badminton clubs and the number increased to 9000 soon after the First World War.

First Competition The first tournament championship for men and women in England was held in 1899, and first for women and men in 1900. The first American championships were held in 1937 in Chicago and Toronto. Since 1992, he became an Olympic sport.

Badminton in Spain The Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA) is the national body of badminton at Spain. It was founded in 1985 and its first President was José Luis Villa Piñeiro. Since December 2004, its President is David hair. The badminton at Spain began practicing in Galicia in the early 1970s. The first Spain of badminton championship held in Valladolid in 1982.

Badminton in Andalusia. Andalusia has a Federation of badminton, in which the President is Juan Carlos Longo and where played a League with multitude of categories. Seville hosted the Badminton World in 2001.

Bádminton en Loja Loja has not any type of Federation, but if it is practiced in high school I.E.S. Virgen De La Caridad, having as teacher of physical education, Ricardo Montiel, a great player.
