WHAT IS A COMMUNITY FOUNDATION? Community foundations are nonprofits that connect individuals, organizations and companies to causes that matter through philanthropy Collection of more than 1,100 charitable funds $330 million in assets (12/31/11) Granted over $500 million to nonprofits since 1984
