1. Color Poem

2. Directions: Think of a color – ANY COLOR!! Brainstorm -As many objects, feelings, etc. that remind you of that color.

3. Example…. YELLOW! Banana, pineapple, the sun, stars, lemons, flowers, rubber duck, frosting, light bulb, star, yellow highlighter A sunny day, Happy, bright, sunny, joy, fun, happiness How can we turn our brainstorming into a stanza?? Yellow is bright Yellow is fun It is the color Of the bright shiny sun Yellow is a lemon That grows on a tree (???? You think of the next line!)

4. Your color poem will include Descriptive words A rhyme scheme At least 20 verses (lines) Remember: A verse does not have to be a complete sentence Your FINAL copy must be ALL in COLOR on plain copy paper
