Ethical Issues Asking candidates the same questions For example – at PV they would use the same questions when interviewing for the same job. For example, when interviewing for a PE teacher a question would be “how do you ensure health and safety regulations are followed before starting a PE lesson”. Interviewers not related to candidates For example – at Saga they would ask each of the interviewers if they know the person (outside of Saga) either as a friend/family, before allowing them onto the panel. Gender and ethnic balance on panels For example – where possible an interview panel should have both male and female interviewers and a mixture of ethnic background. Obviously this is not always possible but a business should try to adhere to this if they can.
