BUGATTI TOP SPEED COMPARISON

BUGATTI PRODUCTION It costs Volkswagen £938,401.69 to manufacture a single Bugatti Veyron There are currently 300 Bugatti Veyron’s scheduled for production It will cost Volkswagen £281,520,507 So far 135 have been delivered Each Veyron is sold at a price tag of £850,000 Volkswagens total loss = £26,520,507
6
BUGATTI COSTS The Veyron uses “Michelin Run-Flat Tyres” which costs £25,000 per set. Steering wheel levers are made from Aluminium and Magnesium alloy and cost £4,500 each. The Bugatti’s Fuel Capacity is 100litres which costs roughly £100 to fill the tank.
7
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS The Veyron is not an Environmentally Friendly car for the following reasons: Compared to the alternative Hybrid engine cars, the Bugatti wastes tons more fuel and contributes a lot more to pollution. The manufacturers consume a lot of natural resources which are used to power the factories and produce/run the vehicle. The Veyron emits the Greenhouse gas CO2 at a higher rate than the majority of cars

GOVERNMENT LAW Increasing the tax for car users through the use of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) Rates 2007/8 Raising the rate for the most polluting cars (Band G) to £300 in 2007-08 and £400 in 2008-09; and reducing the rate for low carbon band B cars to £35 in 2007-08, Rate then frozen for the subsequent two years

MARKET COMPETITION Volkswagen sold just 5 cars in the first year of production in 2005, which lead to a further 44 in the second, and 83 in the 3rd Volkswagen are renown for their German engineering which appeals to many consumers across the globe. Even though Volkswagen seem to make a huge sum of money from selling the Veyron at such a high price, they actually lose nearly £100,000 per car 938,401.69 (Cost to Manufacture) – 850000 (Selling Price) = 88401.69 (Loss) The Veyron boasts to be the fastest Production car in the world and has many other unique to boast about

LEGISLATION The car must be careful in heavy rain. The slick tyres can cause the car to aquaplane at high speeds. The position of the side mirrors and the thick front windscreen pillars have shown up a blind spot. There's limited space in the front boot, deeming it an impractical car for many potential customers. Abysmal fuel economy of around ten miles to the gallon and CO2 emissions averaging 574g/km. Around town the emission average increases to 960g/km. The cost to insure this vehicle is extremely expensive
