5 www.PMILIC.org PMILIC Volunteerism All of our new programs are aimed at strengthening and advancing the Chapter. We also have a wealth of ongoing, continuing operations. All of these efforts are dependent on the efforts of a large number of chapter volunteers. Valuable volunteer benefits include: – Giving back PMI ® in general, and the Chapter directly. – Learning new, and fine tuning your existing Project Management skills. – Strong networking opportunities with other volunteers. – No cost PDUs earned toward maintaining your PMI ® credential. One (1) PDU for each hour of service in Category E, Volunteer Service. The PDUs claimed in this category count against the maximum allowed for “Giving Back to the Profession” categories (D, E, and F). PMP = maximum of 45 PDUs in this category and PMI-RMP and PMI-SP = maximum of 20 PDUs – Free attendance to Chapter meetings! – Respected service addition/entry on your resume! 5
