Ingredients to prepare griwech 1 kg of flour 300 g butter 1 egg 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tbsp orange flower water 1 sachet of saffron or cocolant 1 pinch of salt Honey 500 g 100 g of sesame seeds (djeldjelene) Oil for frying

preparing griwech preparation: Melt the butter without boiling Sift the flour into a large flat Sprinkle with sugar, salt and yeast and mix Make a fountain and pour the butter in the center, vinegar, egg and orange flower water Beat what is in the fountain at hand then add flour gradually to the mixture and rub well the dough between the palms of both hands Dissolve the saffron in a glass of water Sprinkle the dough by kneading the water together until it becomes smooth and a little softer than bread dough Roll it into a ball and cover with a clean cloth or cut into small balls and shooting with a plastic film Take a small ball that you will flatten slightly with the palm of the hand Expand it then roll to a thickness of about 2 mm (you can use the pasta machine)
