Who? Tavistock Infant School: “Achieving Happily Together” Just under 300 pupils on roll 3 form entry years R, 1, and 2. TAFF: Parent/carer volunteers enhancing our children’s learning experience through workshops, materials, and classroom funding not possible on school’s budget.

What? Redevelop the school’s main playground. To provide: Quiet, shaded areas for gross motor skill and imaginative play Fully accessible area with sensory and creativity equipment Replacement of well-loved equipment that is in disrepair Experiences suitable for children with physical difficulties and sensory impairments

When? Hope to complete work in autumn term 2016. Allow the school to finally bring to an end over 3 years of building and groundwork improvement. Timing is dependent on funding.

Why? Help children seek and understand the importance of exercise, fresh air, and activity. Provide an accessible and inclusive, welcoming, and high quality learning environment where the community’s children can do their best. A safe play environment builds children’s confidence, social skills, knowledge, maturity, and character.
