5 Forensic Science & Observation Observation is a very important part of forensic science Forensic scientists have to be very observant and careful to obtain all relevant information needed from the crime scene and not disturb valuable evidence

7 Crime scene investigators use all five senses to collect accurate information They record information as notes or sketches so they can refer to them later in court When they record information they try to use both qualitative and quantitative information

8 Qualitative Information Qualitative information includes details such as hair color, eye color, color of clothing, and type of weapon

9 Quantitative Information Quantitative information includes numerical details such as number of criminals, as well as approximate height and weight of criminals
