Task Definition If you don’t know where you are going, how do you expect to know how to get there?

Ask yourself these questions:
What does the assignment require me to do? What does my teacher expect of me? What will my project look like if it is really well done? What problems need to be solved? If you aren’t clear what your task is ASK!!!

Search Terms Identify Topic Identify major concepts in your topic
Develop keywords related to the major concepts If your search terms aren’t getting you the information you need try different words or phrases What search terms would you use if you were trying to find a dog for your family?

How to Google efficiently
Use Either/Or- Google searches using the words you type in the search bar, you can add EITHER and OR to your search term to search for two words that are related to each other e.g. Dogs or Canines Use Quotes- to search for an exact phrase in links put your search terms in quotes. E.g. “good dogs for families” Use the advanced search option Look for websites ending in .org or .edu. Or just use Google Scholar
