2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust

Introduction Promises are often made but not kept - “Broken” We must be reminded that… God will not fail to keep His promises His promises are reliable and trustworthy - 2 Corinthians 1:20 God cannot lie - Hebrews 6:18 That we must be faithful to Him who has promised Other promises… Eternal life - Titus 1:1-3 Rest for souls who struggled and prevailed - Revelation 14:13 Hebrews 4:1-11 We will consider three precious promise in this lesson… Remember, that God will never fail us!

Three Great & Precious Promises Not Abandoned or Forsaken “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” Hebrews 13:5 God will not leave us… When threatened by man - Hebrews 13:6 When tempted and tried - 1 Corinthians 10:13 When all others forsake us - 2 Timothy 4:10, 16 At no time, even in death - Psalms 23 This is a conditional promise - James 4:8

Three Great & Precious Promises Their Sins Remembered No More “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more” Hebrews 10:17 The Obedient are… No longer separated from God - Isaiah 59:1 No longer subject to the wages of sin - Romans 6:23 No longer burdened with the guilt of sin - Rev. 1:5; Matthew 26:28 This is a conditional promise! Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 John 1:7-2:1

A Crown of Life “…be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” - Revelation 2:10 This crown… Is an “incorruptible crown” - 1 Corinthians 9:25; 1 Peter 5:4 Is eternal life in heaven - 1 Peter 1:3-5 This is a conditional promise! To the faithful unto death - who finish the course 2 Timothy 4:8 To those striving lawfully - according to the rules 2 Timothy 2:5
