Replacement of the clocks, bells, and P. A. systems district-wide Replacing 5 separate systems with a modern technology-based district-wide system Roof repair – Glassboro High School and Thomas Bowe School Performed temporary repairs until permanent repairs are completed in Summer 2016 Extensive tours with the architect and his engineers examining all aspects of the facilities needed to develop the specifications for the referendum work commencing Spring/Summer 2016

District-wide HVAC control and equipment malfunctions Glassboro High School: freeze-up (January 2016) Glassboro Intermediate School: lack of ability to control occupancy schedules and temperature controls J. Harvey Rodgers School: maintaining 2 separate HVAC control systems for 1 building

District-wide HVAC control and equipment malfunctions Thomas Bowe School: roof access only for all HVAC issues Dorothy Bullock School: control issues related to the pneumatic system hindering consistent classroom temperatures

Continued meetings and tours with the architect and his engineers to complete the drawings and specifications to bid the referendum projects Utilized school breaks and in-service days to maximize fact finding More recent meetings have included the District’s Construction Manager, and are finalizing last minute details to prepare for the upcoming advertisement of bids.

Harvey Rodgers (“A” wing)

Summer 2016 HVAC work (High School and Intermediate School) ▪ Mechanical and controls at GHS ▪ Controls at GIS Other Summer work at GHS Lighting Replacement of all ceilings Replacement of fire alarm systems (district-wide)

There will be a tremendous amount of work being performed specifically at GHS in Summer 2016 This will require much cooperation and patience for a positive end product Due to the extensive amount of work, not all projects will be completed by the end of Summer 2016 Some projects will roll over into Summer 2017 This could include the following: ▪ HVAC controls at Bowe, Bullock, and Rodgers ▪ Plumbing at Rodgers ▪ Lighting at Rodgers

I would again like to thank the Board of Education and the taxpayers of Glassboro for their commitment and support of maintaining and renovating the District’s facilities. Commendations should also go to the fine staff of Maintenance, Custodians, and Grounds employees for our District. With their dedication, our students and staff continue to have a clean and safe environment to come to each day.
