Angle An Angle is formed by two rays with the same endpoint

Side The rays are the sides of the angle

Vertex The endpoint is the vertex of the angle (ex. B)

Naming an Angle: You can name an angle by: 1 The vertex (ex. B) A Number (ex. 1) A point on each ray and the vertex (When naming an angle by three points the vertex must go in the middle.) 1

Congruent Angles Angles with the same measure

Angle Measure Is the absolute value of the difference of the real numbers paired with the rays of the angle

Postulate 1-7: Protractor Postulate Consider a point A on one side OB. The rays of the form OA can be matched one to one with the real numbers from 1-180. The measure of angle AOB is equal to the absolute value of the difference between the real numbers for OA and OB. Lesson 3 Postulates
