SCHOOL NO 51, BUCHAREST, ROMANIA I VOTE C.I.A.- COULD I ASK? MARCH-APRIL 2010

CHOOSING THE CLASS REPRESENTATIVE Classes 5 B, 5 C, 6 A, 6 B, 7 B, 7 C, 8 B and 8 C have chosen their representatives for the Students’ Parliament of the project

MAIN STEPS Debating what means to be a “GOOD CITIZEN” and selecting the most important characteristics; Students proposing colleagues to take part in the election process; they give reasons for this choice; Candidates prepare speeches, messages, posters for their campaign; Students vote for their favourite, according to the discussed criteria.

SPEECHES RAZVAN MIHALEA, CLASS 7 B ‘I was proposed to be the leader of the class by some classmates. I'd like to ask them some questions: Did you propose me because I'm your friend? or did you see some qualities at me that could make me a leader? I was not in this class from the beginning, but all the class fellows were nice with me and received me very well. I made a lot of friends in this class, we get on well and they know what I can do. If I am the leader of this class I promise that I do all the best to fulfill all the obligations which a leader has.’

VLAD LUTA, CLASS 7 B ‘First, I want to thank everybody who votes me and who helped me to organize my election campaign. I represent the cause and wishes of all my colleagues. Besides they proved me they trust me and I will strive to show them it is worth it. Regardless of those who believe in my abilities and aptitudes, I want everybody to be involved and be part of this…I want us to be a team!’

STEFAN TEODORESCU, CLASS 7B ‘For a start I would like to thank Mihnea for proposing me to candidate for class presidency. Even though at first I didn’t like the idea and I wanted to give up, I didn’t because I had found my motivation. My slogan is “Solidarity and tolerance”. If you want a solider class in a good way, and if you want a tolerant leader that gets along with everybody, I will represent you in a good way in the pupils council, but first I’ve got to win the elections, so vote me!’
