Project idea SUSCHEM BROKERAGE EVENT 2012 PROJECT IDEA (BRIEF SUMMARY) PROJECT OBJECTIVES  Describe an “ideal world” universal resource efficiency accounting standard based on state of the art thinking and in-project original research  Agree and describe realistic achievable progress for Europe in 5 – 20 year timeframe and roadmap for achieving progress.  Design and implement industry pilots schemes as proof of concept and demonstration  Assure stakeholder consensus PROJECT IMPACT  Help advance resource efficiency monitoring from concept stage (now) to having set of standards plus roadmap for implementation (approx. 3-4 years).  Help develop mature body of expertise and shared vacabulary Address call requirements by way of:  Aligning with SPIRE PPP addressing Grand Societal Challenges of EUROPE 2020 Agenda  Bottom-up approach to analysis, tools selection and methods  Industry led and assuring confidentiality and payback I4RE
