7 International Telecommunication Union 7 COM 4 Ad Hoc - SG Restructuring Mandate of Ad Hoc Group Per T05-WTSA08-C-0137!!MSW-E.docT05-WTSA08-C-0137!!MSW-E.doc 2.5It was agreed to create an ad hoc group on restructuring charged with discussing the way forward for the remaining three study groups, namely SGs 6, 9 and 11, as follows:

8 International Telecommunication Union 8 COM 4 Ad Hoc - SG Restructuring SG 6 – Stand-alone SG (possibly in collocation with SG 15); or – Disbanded, and merge Blocks 6A, 6B, 6C with SG 15 merge Block 6D into either SG 5 or SG 15

9 International Telecommunication Union 9 COM 4 Ad Hoc - SG Restructuring SG 9 – Keep as a separate SG (possibly in collocation with SG 16); or – Merge with SG 16 Note: consider the proposals in Contributions 86, 88, 89 (Japan) inasmuch they assist in the identification of an acceptable solution for SG 9.

10 International Telecommunication Union 10 COM 4 Ad Hoc - SG Restructuring SG 11 – Keep as a separate SG (possibly in collocation with SG 11 (sic); or – Merge SG 11 with SG 13 + 19 Note: consider the proposals in Contribution 82 (Canada) on moving Block 17C (Languages) to SG 11, inasmuch they assist in the identification of an acceptable solution for SG 11.

11 International Telecommunication Union 11 COM 4 Ad Hoc - SG Restructuring Agreed between TSAG Chair candidates When, Chair, Task The group is expected to meet on Sunday 26 October 2008 at 1300 hours. The task of chairing the ad hoc group will be organized by the two candidates to the TSAG Chair, Messrs N. Kisrawi (Syria) and J. Visser (Canada). The group will report back to the COM 4 session Monday 27 October 2008 with an agreed solution for the three study groups. [emphasis added]
