“New Media and ( Chinese ) Society” Course description ------------------------------------------------------------------ Taught course 1) providing theories and approaches 2) studying, analyzing, understanding new media and their social impact 3)how (Chinese) society shapes technology and the new media communications 4) in both global and Chinese contexts. Focus on 1) new media technologies. 2) their impact on society, culture, politics and economics.

Towards: international students, 1) base on Chinese Society practice 2) a good understanding of Chinese social development 3) fundamental comprehension of new media and their social influences 4) theoretically and practically.
