3. Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs in Canada for 15 years. Programs Offered : Accelerate Elevate Globalink Step Converge

Globalink Research Internship Globalink Research Internships provide an intensive program of activities to international undergraduate students during a 12 week (May – September) research internship. During their stay, Globalink Research Interns build a network of peers while they spend time with students from Canada and around the world researching under the supervision of a world-class faculty member at a Canadian university.

A 12-week research internship that deepens a student’s knowledge and explores hands-on research Access to Canada’s unique research landscape – applied, dynamic, and innovative A rewarding experience – combining academic research (at campuses across Canada), networking(connecting students to a professional network), professional skills development, and social activities A chance for students to explore their independence and develop life skills by living on their own in a new country The opportunity to connect with Canadian faculty members and potential graduate supervisors should students be interested in returning to Canada for a Master’s degree or PhD. The Mitacs Globalink Graduate Fellowship is available to Globalink alumni, and includes a $15,000 cash award for the student.

ELIGIBILITY Be preparing for their final year of undergraduate study – that means you must have one to three semesters of course work remaining after you complete your Globalink Research Internship at your home institution Have demonstrated a strong academic record through higher than average grades Be able to participate in the research project for 12 weeks Be able to demonstrate a high-level proficiency in spoken and written English or French

Professors submit research proposals to Mitacs Globalink Internship International students select research projects of their interest from the online database ( Min 3 Max 7) submit applications along with SOP, research interests, CV, transcripts, and references. First scrutinization is done by Mitacs team based upon our references and grades and Plagiarism First Wave Selections: Invitation to Re-rank the project selections based upon our interaction with professor Results of First wave are announced Status will update to “pending” if selected for 2 nd wave Results of second wave are announced May - June Mid August – September end October EndNovember startDecember start Mid DecemberMid January
