Myth 1 Build a list fast – the bigger the better. If you build it fast without a process or system – you will lose focus and see your list as numbers versus human beings (come crumbling down) – This is why most companies lose their customer service as they grow rapidly. (except Amazon)

Myth 2 Immediately after you get them on your list – promote the heck out of them and you’ll get a 24/7 money cash machine – Do not promote promote promote yet. The majority of people get all excited about list building, they start promoting immediately after. – Start by building a relationship first – While you want to avoid positioning yourself as the person that gives free stuff – you want to start promoting after 4-5 weeks. – There is work involved.

Myth 3 Doesn’t matter what your initial offer is – just put together in an hour! – Actually it does matter greatly. – The initial offer sets the tone for everything else. – It can take an hour if you’ve put thought into it – but I would say take time to think this through carefully.

Myth 4 Just redirect people to the offer – don’t build the list – you don’t need a squeeze page! – This used to be something people would tell others – The truth is while yes you can make money doing this; why do it when there is no way to make a connection again?
