Create Turnitin Assignment in Moodle Click to start editing in the Moodle course and then select In the window on the right check and click

Turnitin Assignment in Moodle cont. Enter a name and summary for assignment Select whether to display Originality Reports to Students

Originality Report Generation Speed 1. If students can submit only once to an assignment 2. If students can continuously resubmit until due date 3. If originality reports are generated only on due date

Storing Student Papers Repository options –Choose ‘Standard Repository‘ to check your student papers against other student submissions in current and previous classes. –Choose ‘No Repository‘ to not store student papers in the Turnitin student paper repository. Can apply e.g. when students continuously submit unfinished papers.

Check against Repositories Select whether to check against Turnitin‘s repositories: Student papers, Internet archives, journals, periodicals and publications. Individual sources can be excluded later when viewing the Originality report.

Submit a Turnitin Assignment Students submit Turnitin assignments like any other assignment in Moodle. Teachers can also submit on behalf of students. The Moodle to Turnitin Integration sends the student submission to Turnitin. An originality report is generated and displayed in the Moodle-course.

Viewing an Originality Report Student selects ‘My Submissions‘ to view Originality report - provided the teacher has granted access Teacher selects ‘Submission Inbox‘ for a list of student submissions and Originality reports.

Viewing Originality Reports Clicking on the Similarity index (percentage) in the Submission Inbox opens a separate window. In the new window select ‚Originality‘ to view the Originality report.
