2. Cricket - Sachin Tendulkar Sachin Ramesh Tedulkar is world famous Indian cricketer. He will be awarded Bharat Ratna award. Sachin Tendulkar took retirement from Cricket on Nov. 16 th 2013.

3. Badminton – Saina Nehwal Saina Nehwal is the queen of Indian Badminton. She is the first Indian shuttler to win a medal in Olympics. Saina won a bronze medal at Olympics

4. Hockey – Dhyan Chand Dhyan Chand is a famous Hockey player. Hockey is India’s National game. He is most remembered for his three olymic gold medals in 1928, 1932 and 1936. He was awarded with Padma Bhushan award.

5. Pistol – Vijay Kumar Vijay Kumar is an Indian Army shooter. He made India proud by winning the silver medal in the 25-metre rapid fire pistol event at the London Olympics.

6. Boxing – MC Mary Kom Mary Kom is known as India's 'Million Dollar Baby‘. She made India proud by winning bronze at the London Olympics.

7. Chess – Vishvanathan Anand Vishvanath is a world famous chess champion. He routed challenger Boris Gelfand of Israel 2.5 - 1.5 in the four-game tiebreakers in Moscow to win his fifth World Chess Championship.

8. Billiards – Pankaj Advani Pankaj Advani is India's leading professional billiards and snooker player. He has won 8 World Titles in billiards and snooker

9. Rifle – Gagan Narang Rifleman Gagan Narang provided the spark to India's Olympic campaign by clinching the bronze in the men's 10 metre air rifle event giving the country its first medal in London.

10. Tennis – Sania Mirza Sania Mirza is a professional Indian tennis player. She is the first Indian women to play in US Open tennis tournament.

11. Football(Soccer) – Baichung Bhutia Bhutia is an Indian footballer who plays as a striker. Bhutia is considered to be the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena. He is often nicknamed the Sikkimese Sniper because of his shooting skills in football. He has been awarded with Arjun and Padmashree awards.
