5  Copyright is an important component and learning focus of Jim Harbin-it is not your enemy! Just be careful!  PAPERWORK!!! Must have copyright, storyboard, names/addresses of all students who worked on the project (not school addresses-can get them from Focus or Destiny)  When submitting paperwork, you must print a paper copy for your records and to send to me for district competition

6  Book Jackets may not be shown without author permission unless it is a SSYR book  Music must have written permission unless it is part of purchased computer software or from Soundzabound-use Soundzabound-it’s easy!  Public Domain music is fine but must document it is in the public domain  If still photography is used, must be noted where it came from! Copyright free photography must have proof!  Be careful of logos-if they are shown and are not incidental, that entry will be disqualified

7  Reasons for disqualifications include: -exceeding time limits -copyright violations -inappropriate content We don’t want to disqualify any entry so work with your students to make sure they are following the rules! They will learn so much through this experience!
