Was held in the Circus Maximus Stadium. Watch gladiators compete with each other or wild animals, athletics, wrestling (etc) Was setting for great Roman chariot races. Circus Maximus

Admission was free to all. Riders were trampled beneath the stampede of horses. Twelve chariots raced around the oval for seven laps. The winner of each race received a wreath of money. Circus Maximus

Held 200,000 people in the crowd. With crowds this large, the lives of spectators were in danger. People were sometimes trampled and killed. Circus Maximus is located in Rome, Italy. It was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome. Circus Maximus
