My Scenario #1 Case Study 1 (Tobacco) You and a friend have just watched a movie. You are leaving the cinema and notice a group of popular kids from your school who are all smoking. You stop to talk. You and your friend are offered cigarettes.
2
The problem My problem was that I was offered a cigarette and didn’t know if I were going to take it or not to take it. Take the cigarette and risk getting caught by my parents, take the cigarette more then once and become addicted. Turn down the cigarette and be made fun of and not having anything to feel guilty for. The popular kids won’t accept me or maybe they won’t will respect me.
3
I chose not to take the cigarette, but my friends chose to smoke it. The impact to my decision was that I didn’t have the guilt from hiding it from my parents and I also helped myself and the risk of cancer. I didn’t have respect from the popular kids and was told that I have embarrassed by friend by not taking it. Its also illegal to smoke until you are 18 which would have been the illegal affects on my decision. After making my decision I realized that I made the right one even though I lost a friends and didn’t fit in with the popular kids It was better for my self.

My Scenario #2 Case Study 11 (Alcohol) You often do your homework with a few classmates at a friend’s house after school. Today, you are all studying for a really big test. One of your friends has brought some beer (or other kind of alcohol) and tells you that you will be more relaxed and will feel less stressed if you drink.
5
The problem My problem is that I was offered alcohol while I was studying for a big test after school with my friends. Its supposed to relive my stress. I could take the alcohol and maybe relive my stress but risk drinking to much, getting drunk and not remember anything I studied or lose my self control. It is also illegal to consume alcohol under age and I would get in trouble from my guardians
6
I could also say no to the alcohol. The pros of not taking the alcohol are that I wouldn’t be doing anything illegal and I would probably remember more and do well on my test. The cons of saying no to the alcohol would be that my friends may make fun of me and I may not loose all of the stress that I am having for the test. I chose to take the alcohol and take all of the risks. The impact of my decision was that we lost control of our selves and were charged with under aged drinking, my parents grounded me and I ended up failing the test which was the concept in the first place.
7
After making my decision I realized that it was the wrong one and every thing that I thought the alcohol was going to do was actually incorrect.

My Scenario #3 Case Study 5 (Tobacco) Two of your friends tell you that they smoke because it helps reduce their appetite. You aren't sure if this is true at all, because you have heard some people say that smoking has no effect on weight. You feel you could lose a few extra pounds and with graduation coming up in a few months, you wouldn't mind looking slimmer.
9
The problem The problem is that I was told that smoking would reduce my appetite, I wouldn’t mind losing a couple pounds but I don’t know if this is true or not. I could smoke and either take the illegal risk of underage smoking, be caught from my parents and maybe get addicted to smoking and end up with the side effects of smoking. But a pro would be that my friends could be right and I could lose a couple pounds for graduation.
10
I could chose not to smoke and not feel guilty or have the illegal side effects on my health or anything. But may still have trouble on losing weight. I chose not to smoke and try to lose weight a healthier way. The impact of making my decision was that realized that I didn’t actually need smoking to lose weight and my parents gained trust in me. After making my decision I realized it was the right one because I found out that smoking actually does not affect your weight and I lost weight healthy a look beautiful at graduation

My Scenario #4 Case Study 9 (Alcohol) A few of your friends often pitch-in together to buy a pack of beer. Today, they want you to kick in some money to help buy that pack. You don’t drink and feel it's unfair that you should have to pitch-in for their booze. Besides, you have been trying to save your money to buy a really cool snowboard. They start accusing you of being cheap and tell you to get lost if you don't want to be part of the group.
12
The problem My problem is that my friends want me to chip in my money I have been saving for my new snowboard to buy some booze. I don’t drink and I feel it is un fair I could pitch in my money and drink some booze if I wanted to, and I would be able to stay and have a good time with my friends but I always could get caught with under age drinking and not be able to buy my new snow board.
13
Another option would to not pay, leave my friends, avoid getting caught and buy my new snow board. But if I didn’t they may not think I am cool and I won’t fit in I chose to not chip in my money for the alcohol. The impact of my decision was that I didn’t lose money for no reason, and even if I were to not drink, I would have been doing the wrong thing. After making my decision I realized that it was the right one to make, I bought my self a new snowboard and loving every bit of it!
14
My Scenario #5 Case Study 3 (Cannabis) You and your friends are having fun playing basketball. Another friend arrives a little later and starts talking to two of the other friends. The three of them motion to the rest of the group to join them off to the side. They light a marijuana cigarette and pass it around. The cigarette comes to you.
15
The problem My problem is that I was simply playing basketball with another one of my friends, more people gather around and light a marijuana cigarette, it gets to me and I don’t know what to do. I could either pass the cigarette to the next person and ask my friend if she wants to go back to our game of basketball and don’t mind them.
16
My other option is to smoke it and likely become high, effect my health and risk illegal conditions, but I will fit in with the popular kids. I chose not to smoke the marijuana. The impact of my decision was that I didn’t effect my health or become caught in either way, also instead of them thinking I am a loser the friends told me that they support and respect every decision I make. After making my decision I realized it was the right thing and I lived a great and healthy life!!!!
