5. School Store is Now Open!! The NJHS sponsored School Store is now open! Supplies such as pens, pencils, lead, notebooks, folders and highlighters are sold in Room 228 from 8:30-8:45 am and during 4 th period lunches in the Commons. The store is also open on Fridays during 5 th and 6 th periods in Room 228.

6. Declamation Congrats to the Grissom Declamation Team on their fierce competition Thursday night at the SWIC competition! Special shout outs to: Kellen Gallagher - 2nd in Prose Julia Dring - tied for 3rd in Verse Nathan Cortez - tied for 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation Overall, Grissom placed 5th out of 12 schools!

8. Track We will practice until 4:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

9. Track All students interested in tryout out for Shot Put, please attend practice tomorrow after school from 3:15-4:30. You do not need to have made the track team already to try out. See Mr. Rumbaugh in Room 227 with any questions.

10. Student Council Student Council will meet Tuesday after school until 4:05.

11. The Movement The Movement anti-bullying club will meet after school Tuesday until 4:05.

12. Smencils Smencils will be available for sale during the Hot Dog and Pizza Day lunches for $1. They will be sold by the PTO as a fundraiser.

13. Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge To date, Grissom students and staff members have saved 3,598 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills. Can we get to 4,000 by the end of the school year???

14. Free Books!! The Media Center is giving away books! Come and check out the great selection! Please help us make room for the over 500 new books we have purchased this year!

15. Girls Soccer We will practice after school Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 5:00.

16. Boys Soccer Practice will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 5:00.

18. Student Support Student Support is held in the Media Center every day before school from 8:00 – 8:35 and after school Monday through Thursday from 3:10 – 4:00. There is no Student Support after school on Friday. Please be prompt!
