Guess which English-speaking countries were described by the students. My country looks like Italy upside down. It consists of two main islands and some smaller islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is sometimes called “The World’s Biggest Farm”. The population of my country is mixed. Our official languages are English and Maori. The school year in my country starts in February.

My country is one of the most powerful and advanced countries in the world. It has the third largest population. It’s a real melting pot. English is the official language in my country. The second important language is Spanish. My country’s motto is “In God We Trust”.

My country is the only country in the world which occupies a whole continent and some islands around it. It’s the biggest island and the smallest continent. It lies between the Indian and the Pacific Oceans. Sometimes my country is called “the Lucky Country”. It’s official language is English.

My country is the second largest country in the world. It’s nearly as big as all Europe. People of many nationalities live in my country. There are two official languages in it, English and French. The maple leaf is the official emblem of my country.

My country is an island state. It’s one of the world’s smallest countries – it’s twice smaller than France or Spain. Usually my country’s name is shortened to the UK. The official language is English.
