Early Years When Amelia was ten years old airplanes were not invented. Amelia loved adventures. Her family moved a lot because her dad was an alcoholic and got fired a lot. Amelia was born in Kansas. Amelia loved playing basketball. Amelia loved adventures. Amelia had a little sister Muriel. Amelia had good grades in elementary school.

Middle Years Amelia was a helper to all the wounded soldiers. Got married to George P. Putnam Amelia and George got married because they both had an interest in airplanes. Amelia made a scrapbook called Women’s Achievements.

Why this Person was Famous Amelia helped the soldiers recover. Amelia crossed the Atlantic as a passenger. Amelia crossed the Atlantic solo. Amelia tried to fly around the waist span of the world. Amelia died doing what she loved.

Why I Choose this Person I choose Amelia Earhart because she loved adventures just like me. And I only choose people that I really like and have at least one similarity to me and Amelia has 3! The first one is in the first sentence, the second one is that she loved sledding, and the third one is when she was little she wanted to fly like a bird.
