GB-1000 receiver Basic informations

Start sequence Power on the receiver (press green button), this menu appears: Nota: –If a session was running when the receiver was turned off previously, then there might be messages inviting to close the on-going session first, in this case accept and close the files –The receiver does not turn on when pressing the green button when it is already in acquisition (with the screen blank to save energy). In this case the receiver can be turned on by pressing simultaneously F1 and F4

Continuing the start sequence Press ‘static’ in the previous menu, this screen appears and you will have to press ‘next’ more times

Continuing the start sequence The acquisition rate is selected here, 1s for kinematic, 30s for static

Continuing the start sequence The elevation mask is set to 5°

Continuing the start sequence Format: TPS and Program ON (this means that the receiver will open a new file every day)

Continuing the start sequence This means one file per day

Continuing the start sequence Ext log ON: this means that the data will be stored also on the external card

Finishing the start sequence This is the last step before the receiver starts aquisition

Screen during regular acquisition

Procedure to unlock the receiver while it acquires with energy saver (blank screen)

End of acquisition In case the acquisition has to be stopped, press on END here

End of acquisition The receiver requests confirmation

End of acquisition Pressing F1 and F4 simultaneously will bring back the initial menu (see first slide)

Autonomy of a 1Go CF 1 day of observation at 30s = 3Mo Therefore 1Go permits approx. 10 months of acquisition Do not forget a USB card reader to make backups of the data stored in the CF

Automatic restart The internal parameters of the receivers allow (in principle) an automatic restart after a power failure. This means that in principle there is no need to close a session and restart a session as described above. Caution: if a session has been closed previously then it is mandatory to restart a session, the receiver will not do it by itself

Internal batteries Their autonomy is about 6 hours, there fore short power failures do not affect the acquisition. The internal batteries are loaded by the power supply

Power supply The receiver is provided with a 220V-12V converter. In case 220V in not available, it is possible to power the receiver with a battery of voltage between 12 and 24V (but the 12V cable with connectors for battery is not provided here)
