4 VISITOR In User Properties, click the List tab to see a display of all authorized users for your TOPSpro installation.

5 VISITOR Use a VISITOR-level Username to be able to view your TOPSpro data but not edit it.

6 Test Lister The Test Lister displays all current tests in your database.

7 Test Lister You can filter the Test Lister by Site, Class, Date, and Form Number.

8 Advanced Filter Use the Advanced Filter icon for more complex sorts.

9 Report Locator The new Report Locator enables users to launch reports from a central location and organize TOPS reports into different categories.

10 Report Locator The Locator also allows you to save your most frequently used reports.

11 TOPSpro Report Setup Window Date Range Mover Buttons 7 Tabs The New Report Setup window opens every time you open a TOPSpro report.

12 Date Range refers to the record dates you want the report to include. TOPSpro will automatically input the dates of your default Program Year. You can manually delete or add dates to any of the fields if you like. Report Setup Window

13 Click the Mover buttons to filter the report. For example, click Site to select specific sites to include in the report. Your default Agency and Site will automatically enter in these fields. Report Setup Window

14 Each Report Setup window has eight tabs: Student Consumer Options Demographic Filters Entry Filters Update Filters Drop Reasons Report Series Report Setup Window

15 Student Tab The Student tab opens by default and includes the most familiar features. You set most initial parameters for your report here. It includes Date Range and the mover buttons.

16 Options enables you to take several measures to modify the structure, output, or display of your report. Options Tab

17 Report Output lets you decide whether to generate a hard copy of the report using your printer, a pdf file, or in xls format such as Excel. Options Tab

18 Use Report Title to modify information on the title of the report. Options Tab

19 Student Print Option modifies the display of student information on the report. Options Tab

20 Special Options varies from report to report. Check the boxes to manipulate how TOPSpro displays the information on the report. Options Tab

21 Place the mouse inside the gray box to change Report Sort Order and Page Sort Order. Report Sort Order determines how TOPS allocates information across the multi-page report; Page Sort Order, within a single page. Options Tab

23 TOPSpro Class Performance by Competency Class Performance by Competency displays the collective class results for each CASAS test form.

25 TOPSpro Student Performance by Competency Student Performance by Competency shows an individual’s results on a particular test form.

26 TOPSpro Class Profile by Competency Class Profile by Competency displays individual test performance in a particular class by test form.

27 Special Option for Select Class Reports Select class level reports (Class Profile, Class Performance, Class Cumulative Performance) have the Special Option to display tests for all classes in which the student is enrolled.

28 Class Performance by Content Standard Class Performance by Content Standard displays class results on specific competencies and the embedded basic skills content standards in each item.

29 Student Test Summary by Class Student Test Summary lists students by Agency/Site/Class and shows all tests the learner has completed.

30 TOPSpro Suggested Next Test Level Detail Suggested Next Test Level Detail provides the learner’s entire test history for the reporting period.

31 TOPSpro Report Student Gains by Class Student Gains by Class shows your learners’ gains from one test to another similar to Learning Gains reports, only with the additional feature of applying California Payment Points rules to determine Significant Gain and Two Level Advancement.

32 Data Integrity Report The DIR displays Item Count and Item Percent for 27 items that are important for State and Federal requirements.

33 Activity  Review your Student Profile.  Use your report handouts and the profile to determine the following: 1.Which test forms did your student complete in 2007-08? 2.What were your student’s scale scores on these tests? 3.If applicable, how did your student perform on Item #8 on the 055L? How about Item #16 on the 185R? 4.Which task area does Item #16 represent? 5.How did your student’s results in Activity questions #1-2 compare with the rest of Class 111? 6.Which content standards are represented in 185R #16? 7.What is your student’s learning gain in reading, if applicable? In listening? 8.How many hours of instruction did your student have in 2007-08?
