2. Spiritual Gift What is a spiritual gift? – A special ability given by the Holy Spirit to every believer at their conversion to be used for building up the body of Christ. What isn’t a spiritual gift? – Natural talent (musical ability, physical fitness, etc.) – Fruit of the Spirit – Responsibility as believer (e.g. evangelism, prayer, faith, etc.)

3. Spiritual Gift All believers… have a spiritual gift – (1 Cor 12:6-7, 1 Pet 4:10) are called for every good work – (Eph 2:8-10, Jas 2) have at least one good work they’re good at. – (Rom 12, 1 Cor 12, Eph 4, 1 Pet 4)

4. Some Clarifications No one has all the spiritual gifts (1 Cor 12:11) No one gift is given to all believers (1 Cor 12:29-30) The Spirit decides what gift(s) you get (1 Cor 12:11, Eph 4:7) No one gift is more important, or better, than another (1 Cor 12:14ff)
